Holiday Leftover Sandwich

Technically speaking, there's no wrong way to construct a leftover sandwich. Pile anything between two slices of bread and you're all set. The joy is in the chaos. That said, we turned to one of our favorite local merchants, Goat Hill Marketplace in Duluth, MN, to share their go-to method for the leftover sandwich madness. Make sure to give them a visit if you're ever in town to stock up on your favorite Momofuku products.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices rustic style bread (we like sourdough)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (we like kewpie) or softened butter, if you prefer
  • 2 tsp Momofuku Chili Crunch (feel free to add more if you like a good kick of heat)
  • 1 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 2-3 slices leftover roast turkey
  • 1/3 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1-2 tsp. butter (melted)
  • 3-4 roasted Brussels sprouts (halved or sliced thinly)

Directions

Toast bread in a toaster or brush with butter and toast in a skillet until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix Momofuku Chili Crunch and mayo. Spread on both pieces of toast. On one piece of meat, spread on an even layer of cranberry sauce. Next up, create a layer of mashed potatoes. For true indulgence, add melted butter to the mashed potatoes.

Nestle your turkey on top of the mashed potatoes. Layer the sliced or halved Brussels sprouts across the top of the turkey and top with the second piece of toast. Enjoy!
